Helloooooo Mixers!
I am one of the newbs, and I’d like to thank you all for welcoming me into your exclusive Clübbe! Some fantastic mixes have been shared so far, and gulp, I hope my mix will hold up here.
This Mix I started brewing up while visiting Paris for my first time this past September. What a romantic and beautiful city indeed. “Warwick Avenue” I heard for my first time while riding in a Mercedes Benz cab (that's how they roll there I guess), having just seen the city lights of Paris (in the rain!) from the top of the Eiffel Tower. Every step and turn I took in this city I found myself more and more enamored with it all. So I built a kind of “Story of Love and Lights” around Warwick Avenue, comprised mostly of songs from my personal playlist I loaded up for the trip, as well as a few songs that made surprise guest appearances at random times and places throughout my trip. “In A Sentimental Mood” tugs at my heartstrings, just like the memory of walking the cobblestone streets of Montmartre at sunset. So I threw that in there for good measure. Sigh.
“U Can’t Touch This,” obvi, does this for me as well.
Other than that, this mix has no “real” theme (you fellow preceding mixers are so clever!). I hope you enjoy.
